discard or not discard?

ps: έχω ακόμα τα ημερολόγια που κρατούσα απο το δημοτικό ως το λύκειο και το λεύκωμα της έκτης δημοτικού. ("τι είναι έρωτας;", :-P). Τι να κάνω; Να τα πετάξω;;;

let's sneak into my room just to read my diary

For the last few years I have had this habit of writing down in my little pocket diary everyday details like going to the hairdresser's or the dentist or which films I watch, who I meet for a coffee or drinks, friend's b-days, gigs, trips and holidays. At the end of the year I never throw them away, so I have at least 6 of them all bought from "the works" and sent to me every December by my friend in the UK. From time to time I open them, find the present date and check what I was doing years ago on that day. Was it a sodding, stupid day that you wish to leave behind for ever or was it one of those days that stay in your mind and leaves you with the best memories? Have you changed, who are the friends you've left behind and who are still a part of your life? So I've come to realize that this is my first "working" summer and the very first July I've spent in Athens and it has been pretty good so far - especially since they've finally fixed the broken air-conditioner and we are not thinking any more of wearing out bikinis at work :-)

tomorrow never comes until it's too late

http://mazenkerblog.blogspot.com/

Please check his blog and spread the word. His drawings and posts are more real than the 8 o'clock news. I couldn't help but to remember the song below.

At the starting of the week
At summit talks you'll hear them speak
It's only Monday
Negotiations breaking down
See those leaders start to frown
It's sword and gun day
Tomorrow never comes until it's too late

You could be sitting taking lunch
The news will hit you like a punch
It's only Tuesday
You never thought we'd go to war
After all the things we saw
It's April Fools' day

Tomorrow never comes until it's too late
Tomorrow never comes until it's too late

You hear a whistling overhead
Are you alive or are you dead?
It's only Thursday
You feel a shaking on the ground
A billion candles burn aroundIs it your birthday?
Tomorrow never comes until it's too late
Tomorrow never comes until it's too late
Make tomorrow come I think it's too late

oops

Oops, I have encountered comment spam so I had to enable the word verication options and everything. I am too bored to delete the comments and besides they just say how "nice my blog is", lol! It's funny because so far very few people know about this blog as I wasn't sure if would have the time or the mood to update it regurarly. I think I am beginning to like it so I will stick to it for a while - at least as long as things are not hectic and and I have time to spare while at work.

letter never sent

rockwave, 11/07/2006

Dear Courtney, I used to fancy you but not any more...

Όσο για τους Franz, ef-xa-ri-stoy-me Alex, you are the greatest! Πολύ κέφι, χαμόγελα με τις προσπαθειες του να μιλήσει ελληνικά, music to make the girls dance.
Οκ, είδαμε και τους sunday drivers, τους mecano και τους greed on red αλλά they were not my cup of tea to be honest. Let's do it again in three weeks :-)

photojenny

The first blog I ever read came as a person's webpage link in 2000 in the Jeepster Forum when I was well into belle & sebastian. The girl's nick was photojenny and she lived in Manchester, I was totally carried away by her blog, sometimes I thought I could read my own thoughts in someone's elses diary. Then there was aaron from bristol or somewhere who was in love with another b&s fan in the states and because of him I discovered "the pastels". They both stopped updating their blogs rather suddenly and I sort of missed them a bit at first. I sometimes remember them and I wonder what they have become or if they still listen to b&s. A bit like you think of old friends you haven't talked for ages but suddenly you feel an urge to find out how their lives have turned out.

my life in a paper bag

I've been constantly on the go during the last three years. I've become an expert in packing, either for a whole year or just for the weekend. The first two years I used to take so many ferries back and forth the island every weekend I could describe in details most of the sailors and I could tell the beauforts just by feeling the speed of the wind . That was my life in a rucksack, the rucksack I carried every weekend around.
During the last year there was an important upgrade, you see I don't need to carry a rucksack around any more. Because now I am back to Athens, the things for the weekend fit in a plain paper bag. I may have left spare clothes and cosmetics everywhere, but I can manage with just a paper bag.
But to tell you the truth I am becoming tired of this too. I can't wait until we can finally move into the new house and forget everything about efficient packing. When the Sundays will come and I won't have to take a ferry to an island or the bus to my house to the other side of the city.
